Semco Mission

Our mission is to make a meaningful contribution to society by providing the finest sanitary environment management systems available. Our company name, Semco, is derived from "Sanitary Environment Management Consulting," reflecting our dedication to this field.

In today's society, where product quality and overall quality of life need to meet exceptionally high standards, robust systems to prevent product contamination by insects is essential. Semco leads the way in developing specialized sprayers for maintaining sanitation and endeavors to be at the forefront of pest control equipment and chemicals in Japan.

We are a pest control consulting firm founded in 1973, holding the largest market share in Japan for the sales of industrial pest control materials. Despite our nearly 50-year history as an established company, we maintain an entrepreneurial approach and work culture.

Our distinctiveness lies in leveraging our expertise to construct business models that serve the needs of society. During this process, we identify the pivotal aspects where our company can make a significant impact and invent solutions that satisfy all stakeholders involved.

To achieve this, we have a diverse team of professionals with various backgrounds, including insect specialists with doctoral and master's degrees, pharmacists, IT experts, overseas specialists, and new business development personnel. They contribute their skills and collaborate freely to maximize the strength of our team. Our employees, many of whom have been fascinated by insects since childhood, collaborate and engage in passionate discussions about innovative pest control techniques. We conduct research and development on industrial pest control materials and organize frequent training sessions nationwide for specialist pest control companies. Even employees who may not necessarily be insect enthusiasts actively analyze our company's strengths and initiate new business ventures from scratch. Our team members are involved in all stages, from conceiving business ideas to implementing services. Recently, we swiftly organized a nationwide network related to housing maintenance and made significant contributions to improving the quality of used homes.

Furthermore, we place great emphasis on corporate social responsibility. After the devastating 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, an abundance of pests, such as flies, infested seafood processing factories affected by the tsunami. We conducted extensive pest control activities in collaboration with the Nippon International Cooperation for Community Development(NICCO) and the Japan Pest Control Association.

Internationally, insect-borne infectious diseases continue to prevail, resulting in the deaths of over one million infants, primarily in African countries, due to diseases like malaria. To address this issue, we manufacture and export residual sprayers that comply with the World Health Organization (WHO) specifications. We firmly believe in the dream of world peace and recognize that there is still much we can accomplish as a company.
